#LittleLoves is a linky held over at But Why Mummy Why. I thought it would be fun to join in with this once a week. The idea behind the posts is that they are a weekly chance to remember the little things you’ve loved that join up to make your week. You don’t need to be a parenting blogger to join in, all bloggers are welcome!
Firstly, I apologise for my lack of photography this week. I have forgotten to take photos! Also, I’ve been teaching most evenings (which is when I normally edit and sort photos!)
So moving on, what have we been up to?
Read
I have been reading Fortune’s Pawn by Rachel Bach this week. I picked this up after watching a video by Elena at Elena Reads Books. She recently read it and loved it. I’ve never read anything like it before, and I’m really enjoying it so far!
I’ve also read a few blog posts and articles about Baby Led Weaning this week including this one from Feeding Finn and I also found these great recipes from My Lovely Little Lunchbox. I think we are going to try a mixture of both with regards to weaning – Parker really enjoys food and has taken to finger food well so far. Fingers crossed it continues!
Watched
We’ve rejoined the world of Netflix, but I haven’t been home much this week so haven’t actually had time to watch anything! I’m really looking forward to finding a good series or two. Anything you would recommend?
Heard
I absolutely LOVE this song from Hozier. I could listen to it all day long. Such a chilled out song.
Made
We had a lovely meal out with our friends – who came down from Bristol during the week. Sat around the table we started talking about holidays and ended up making plans to go on holiday together next Summer. Now, we have had lots of discussions about whether we should take Parker – and I think we have decided not to. That decision may cause uproar but we feel it is the best decision for us (and him). My lovely mum has agreed to have him for the week, if we go. It will be lovely to have something to work for and look forward to. It will most probably be somewhere closer to home, although I love the look of this resort here. Pure Bliss.
Wore
I got a really lovely pair of sandals from TK Maxx this week. I mooched about in there after having a coffee with a friend and spotted them. They are a perfect fit – so comfortable! They have a sole that moulds to your foot, a little like Birkenstocks. They are a size 2 1/2 – I know, tiny feet! – and it is so rare that I find a pair of shoes in this size, so I grabbed them! They ended up being £9.99, and I love them!

And Lastly
I also took my younger brother to a fantastic creative writing workshop at the local library yesterday, he really enjoyed it and it was free! I have also met up with some friends this week, one for a coffee date and the other a girls lunch at their house. It has been lovely, and I have felt like a lady of leisure!
I’ve been teaching a lot in the evenings again this week, and have the possibility of doing a part-time admin role to help the school out for the next month. Although I feel guilty about the idea of leaving Parker I think that I need some time and space, and also he needs to have time away from me to get used to what will happen when I do go back to work. It may only be for a couple of days a week, and they may not even need me at all – so we shall see. Did you feel guilty about going back to work?
My mum comes back off holiday tomorrow and I’m so excited to see her (although I know I will be jealous of her tan!).
Enjoy your weekend!

Oh, I’ve heard lots about PLL, will have to get watching that – thanks! I started S1 of OitnB but only got about half way through, then we cancelled Netflix. Oh well, will just have to start again!

Love the idea of a creative writing workshop. My favourites on Netflix are The Good Wife, Damages and recently I was obsessed with Bloodline and Daredevil. Have a fab weekend xx

My little brother really enjoyed it – gave him something to do other than staring at his xbox! Thanks for the Netflix recommendations, I will have a look (I have a feeling this could be dangerous!).
Enjoy your weekend xx

You book that holiday and go without Parker if that’s what you want to do! Don’t let anyone’s reactions put you off 😉 I love Orange is the New Black, Reign (although that one might only be on the US Netflix), Hart of Dixie and Once Upon a Time on Netflix. Have a great weekend! x

Thanks for that, I just know that some people will say ‘You shouldn’t go on holiday without him, he’s your child etc!’. I just think that whilst he is so little it’s pointless, we are so limited and his routine is still so important at the moment.
I have so many Netflix shows to catch up on – thanks for the recommendations! I started watching American Horror Story last night – I’m really intrigued already!
Enjoy your weekend xx

Your sandals look lovely and comfy, and what a bargain.
Good on you for booking a little holiday. Me and my husband are going away on our own for 3 nights in October and I can’t wait. We discussed taking O but felt he (and us) would relax more if he stayed with grandma. It’s lovely to have a bit of couple time to look forward to xx
